The U.S. Green Building Council Redwood Empire Chapter (USGBC-REC) serves the Northern California counties of Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte.

The mission of the Chapter is to assist members to Learn, Connect, and Contribute. Home to a region full of innovators, influencers, grass-roots organizers, the goals are to promote environmental responsibility, economic vitality and vibrant healthy lifestyles. The Redwood Empire Chapter provides the opportunity to become involved with individuals who care about regenerating and sustaining healthy and thriving communities. It’s about You Making A Difference.

As part of approximately 65 Chapters networking throughout the United States, the non-profit 501©(3) volunteer organization extends primarily along the California coast from the Oregon border to just north of San Francisco. It also includes the world-renowned Wine Country Region of Napa and Sonoma Counties.

The all-volunteer efforts are led by Board Members who serve two-year terms and oversees Chapter policy and operations. Leadership Team Members collaborate and contribute to the development of individual events and projects on behalf of the Redwood Empire community. All are welcome to join the Leadership Team with participation levels set on projects of your choosing as your time allows.
